I get so frustrated with my artwork because I color at a ridiculously SLOW pace!!! GRRRRR!!! And it's not even as amazing as half the stuff I see on here on a daily basis! *grumble*
Anyhoo this is the progress I've made on the cover for the book I've written. I know there's no background yet, I haven't figured out what I'm gonna put there. >> Many thanks to Aeri for her crits leading up to this point. I'm working on the 3rd draft of my book now and let me warn you. Do NOT make the mistake I made and start illustrations after the rough draft!! I have to go back and either:
a) Find a way to fix the two illos I was working on (one was "finished") b) Start over. Frickin' fracking FUCK!!
So the book I wrote (I'm expecting the copyright back fairly soon I hope, I sent to the Library of Congress for copyrighting back in May '08) is a romantic comedy and that's all I'm gonna say for now (I'm super paranoid). Giga Girl is a main character in the book, only in it her name is "G.G.". ; And no, that's not her on the cover, that's her friend Kae who is the main heroine.
It's the lapel on his trench coat. I've been doing this for years and sadly I don't think I've gotten any faster coloring. I sketch quickly, color... takes forever. >>

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
